Kelly and I went to Corteo, a Cirque Du Soleil production that is touring and is currently in Phoenix. This was the fourth Cirque i have been to and Kelly's third. The previous show I went to was Vareki, also in Phoenix, when Google treated us. we sat in the front row and i was basically forever changed because I couldn't imagine going these days and not sitting in the front. It is just so intense and awesome. So, i was really amped to see the show.
We drove up to the venue and was caught in a HUGE line of traffic. Just when we had inched our way up a little further we noticed there was a person collecting money for parking. Shit! We didn't bring any. So when we got to the person and rolled down our window we told them we didn't have any cash – did they take cards? Nope, you will have to turn around. Yeah right, it was like 10 mins till the show started, we have front row tickets and this guy wanted us to turn around? I pretty much said, "No fucking way, these tickets were $120, we waited MONTHS for the show.. we aren't going to miss it." I think at that point it was obvious to him we weren't turning around so he just waved us through.
Damn straight!
So we finally got into the show. It was amazing. I place is right behind Mystere, which was my first show. For me it will take a lot to top Mystere. Anyway, there was some amazing stunts? I guess you can call them that? Right off the bat some really attractive girls disrobed and got onto chandeliers and spun around over our head. That was awesome heh. And really the whole night went that way – one amazing thing to see after another. I can hardly wait for the next show, which i guess would be next year.
