4:13am
So it begins – my semi live-blog of the trip to Google. It is 4:13am and i just peeled myself out of bed. I slept not a wink… too excited. Running through all the things i want to say and learn about. So, i am a little hyped up at the moment. Eric should be picking me up in about 15 minutes to go to the airport. I wanted to live blog last time but i was too busy doing meetings and things there. Maybe this time since there will be 5 of us attending i'll have some time every now and again to update this.
(Damnit, got too busy and i didnt live blog.. so i will give a recap lol)
So we finally arrived at the airport at the ass crack of dawn. I was so tired i couldn't even operate my camera phone, which is why the pictures taken by it look like shit.

Somewhere close by, Keith had arrived (earlier than we had oddly enough) and he took a picture of his own watch to document how early it was.
So we all arrived to the airport on-time, got on the plane. Here is another tired shot that i took with my camera phone. Trust me, the trip gets more interesting

So we arrive in San Jose around 8am. We found that there was a mix up with the car situation and Google sent us a dude driving a sedan instead of a larger car that would comfortably fit the 5 of us. So we all piled into this 'sedan' and drove to the Google campus. It wasn't a long drive and it was actually pretty funny although we were essentially sitting on top of each other. The best part was when the driver started playing Phil Collins. We all laughed our asses off.
So we arrived at Google and started some of our meetings. I am not going to review them here on my blog (lots of NDA stuff) but needless to say we are doing well with our accounts. We mostly talked about the performance of our campaigns in these morning sessions.
Then, we took a tour of the campus which was great. This was my third time there but the first for an official tour. We got to check out all the buildings, see all the cafes (there are 6 at Google), learn about the design philosophy of their buildings (no googler can be over 100ft from food – and yes i am totally serious, their buildings are designed around this tenet), see the fitness center, etc. We saw lots of people with dogs in their offices. It was wonderful. I could write all night about the cool stuff that we saw.
In the afternoon we did some presentations of our own to some higher ups at Google. Literally, very high ups. These presentations went well. I couldn't be happier actually at how they turned out. We got a lot of compliments and i think earned even more respect from them.
Maybe it was this that scored as a black, stretched limosuine ride back to the airport! Or, maybe it was the foul up with our ride on the way there. Either way, it capped off an awesome day. I miss our friends at Google already! Hurry up and invite us back!
be sure to give a report on how many girls Peterson hits on!!
At least two..
glad the trip went well.
Naturally, Mummy’s main concern is that you got there and back safely!
After that, CONGRATS……on a fabulous-sounding trip! I am so glad your co-workers got to experience Google, too.
Of course, you will ALL be invited back! What else????? You guys are great at what you do!
